Dr Rosa María Daurelio, gynaecologist specialising in assisted reproduction at Instituto Bernabeu Madrid, participated as a speaker at the event ‘Debates in fertility’, organised by Ferring Laboratories in Mérida, Mexico. The event, which brought together fertility experts from Mexico, Latin America and Canada, focused on the latest research and advances in the field of assisted reproduction.
In her presentation, Dr Daurelio highlighted the importance of a correct diagnosis of implantation failure in order to offer patients the best diagnostic and therapeutic options and to optimise each embryo transfer. ‘Implantation failure is rare when an exhaustive study of the embryonic and uterine factor has been carried out beforehand’, Dr Rosa María Daurelio pointed out.
She also spoke about the latest research in the field of implantation failure: ‘In recent years there have been deep changes in the diagnosis and management of implantation failure. We now know that we can optimise each embryo transfer by adapting strategies to each patient’s profile. Infertility is a problem affecting millions of couples around the world and it is imperative that patients have access to accurate and up-to-date information,’ she explained.
