Dr Andrea Bernabeu talks about the vaginal microbiome in assisted reproduction on September 29th at the first Fertypharm professional conferences

Dr Andrea Bernabeu, Instituto Bernabeu’s medical co-director, will participate as speaker at the first Fertility Virtual Conference organised by Fertypharm on September 29th. In her speech, Dr Bernabeu will address the “Microbiome and assisted reproduction”. This is one of the gynaecologist’s lines of research, the study of microorganisms’ alterations forming the vaginal and endometrial microbiota implications in fertility. This is materialised in research works about the role the microbiota’s alteration may play in the embryo implantation failure or recurrent miscarriages which cannot be explained despite the fact the usual tests are normal.
The meeting, which is being held in a virtual format, will take place on 28 and 29 of September and will feature presentations of about twenty national fertility experts. The aim is to bring to the table the latest advances and innovations in reproductive medicine and to become an exchange of information between fertility professionals.
