In 2013,after 12 years of collaboration with the departments of Biotechnology, Agricultural Chemistry and Molecular Biology in the University of Alicante, our University Chair in Reproductive Medicine was formed. Its aim is to develop treatments in order to provide solutions for patients with extreme infertility, as well as spreading understanding and awareness about new techniques in fertility.
The pillars of our commitment to intellectual development are continuing education, primarily through the Master’s in Reproductive MedicineInstituto Bernabeu-Universidad de Alicante, teaching (since 2008 members of our staff work as adjunct professors in the university), research, and giving back to the community.
Advanced University Course in Community Medicine and Reproductive Health at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH)
The aims of the Advanced University Course in Community Medicine and Reproductive Health are to promote training, research and the development and dissemination of reproductive medicine. Instituto Bernabeu and Miguel Hernández University of Elche signed in September 2016 the creation of this chair which strengthens the bonds of the human reproduction centre and the university.

Since it was established, Instituto Bernabeu has not only taken on a supporting role, but has also provided teaching and research, whilst cooperating with the Universities of Alicante, Elche, Castilla-La Mancha, Murcia, Valencia, Barcelona, Segovia, Valencia y Turin, on projects like doctoral theses and internships for students and postgraduates.
Medical Resident training on Assisted Reproduction Techniques
The Institute is recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a centre for further education in the field of Assisted Reproductive Techniques, for specialists in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and during the last ten years, several graduates have taken the M.I.R. (Médico Interno Residente, an exam that enables them to access the Spanish medical training program) at our institute
