A study made by Instituto Bernabeu presented in ASEBIR discovers the increasing factors of biochemical miscarriage risk
December, 9th 2021
The research carried out at Instituto Bernabeu’s genetics laboratory, IBbiotech, has discovered some of the risk factors that can cause biochemical miscarriage, the early termination of pregnancy development.
The important results obtained have been presented as an oral communication at the Association for the Study of Reproductive Biology (ASEBIR) congress.
After three years of research, scientists at the Instituto Bernabeu have discovered that uterine alterations, embryo biopsy on day 6 or 7 of development, embryonic mosaicism and, to a lesser extent, maternal age and the number of mature oocytes recovered during ovarian stimulation are risk factors for biochemical miscarriage.
