Do you like drawing? Take part in the 11th Children’s Drawing Contest on Motherhood of the Rafael Bernabeu Foundation.

The Rafael Bernabeu Foundation invites children between the ages of 5 and 13 to participate in the eleventh edition of the Children and Youth Drawing Contest on Motherhood, an initiative that seeks to encourage creativity and promote artistic talent in children.

Under the slogan ‘Do you like to draw?’, the Foundation is organising a new contest edition that encourages children and young people to express their vision of motherhood through artistic expression, a key concept in our society and linked to our Reproductive Medicine activity. Consolidated year after year, the contest attracts a growing number of participants, thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the youngest children and the support of teachers and families from all over Spain.

Categories and prizes

Participants will compete in two categories according to their age: the Children’s Category, for children aged 5 to 8, and the Youth Category, for those aged 9 to 13. The jury will award different prizes in each category, recognising the talent and effort of the participants. The first prize will consist of a diploma and a €300 voucher to be exchanged at any Fnac shop for cultural products. The second prize will include a diploma and a €100 voucher for the same purpose. In addition, eight additional distinctions will be awarded to the finalists in each category, consisting of a diploma and a special gift.

Prize-giving ceremony

The awards ceremony will take place on the 8th of May at 17:30 h. in the Assembly Hall of the Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante, where the attendees will be able to enjoy a fun afternoon.

After the awards ceremony, a snack will be offered to the attendees and the exhibition will be inaugurated in the cafeteria of the Instituto Bernabeu in Alicante, where the selected and awarded works will be displayed in an exhibition open to the public until September 1^st.

Exhibition of participating and award-winning works

This year, as a novelty, a virtual gallery for each category has been inaugurated on our Foundation’s website to display and enjoy all the participating drawings.

In addition, the finalist and award-winning drawings will be on display until September 1^st in an exhibition open to the public in the Instituto Bernabeu Alicante cafeteria.

How to participate

To participate, children must draw a picture about motherhood in DIN A4 format, using a free plastic technique. The drawing must be sent together with the following details of the artist:

• Title of the drawing
• Name or alias
• Age
• City or town
• Telephone number
• E-mail address
