Instituto Bernabeu’s medical codirector, Dr Andrea Bernabeu, participated in the Ferring 11th Fertility Symposium held in Malaga on the 15 and 16 of September under the title “The new dimension of ART_e”. The event focused on innovation in the field of reproductive medicine, with a programme full of current topics aimed at professionals in this speciality.
Dr Bernabeu was in charge of moderating one of the expert panels in the session entitled “Experience & Evidence. Clinical cases”. On this occasion, the members of the panel discussed infertility of unknown origin and recurrent implantation failure in front of hundreds of attendees with whom they were able to exchange experience and knowledge.
The first clinical case was presented by Dr Inés Agustí from Hospital Clínic in Barcelona, and Dr Bárbara Romero, from Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves in Granada. The second one was presented by Dr Alejandra Santana, from Hospital Materno Infantil of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Dr Adolfo de Prados, from Clínica Juana Crespo in Valencia.
In Dr Bernabeu’s own words: “it is not always easy to transfer the evidence to clinical practice and to the real cases we encounter on a daily basis. In our specific case, for years, we have been facing increasingly complex situations that require a multidisciplinary approach and, undoubtedly, it is our professionals’ high medical level that allows us to resolve most of these situations successfully”.
This eleventh edition brought together more than 300 reproductive medicine professionals who were also able to address aspects such as artificial intelligence, big data and the metaverse, focused on assisted reproduction.
This is yet another of the specific forums in which Instituto Bernabeu participates. In this case, in addition to Dr Bernabeu’s round table moderation, the symposium was attended by an important representation of Instituto Bernabeu’s medial team.
