Great attendance to the conference on Updates in Andrology and Male Fertility

The last Thursday, a workshop focused on updating health professionals on the recent advances in the field of andrological fertility, took place in the auditorium of Instituto Bernabeu Alicante.
Speakers of first order, who lead the Urology Departments of Instituto Bernabeu clinics and that came from different parts of the country.
For the inaugural presentation, “Preservation of fertility in prepubertal children: cryopreservation of spermatogonial stem cells and perspectives” was given by Professor Christine Wyns, Head of the Department of Gynaecology and Andrology at Cliniques Universitaires Sant-Luc, Brussels. Medical Director of the Bank for Reproductive and Cellular Tissues, leader in the study of the use of spermatogonial stem cells (cells that from the beginning of puberty begin to differentiate and produce mature spermatozoa) to make children, whose disease will endanger their fertility, have the option to recover it in the future.
