How does the analysis of the female genital microbiome help women’s reproductive health?

Dr Andrea Bernabeu, medical director of Instituto Bernabeu, participated as a specialist in the debate: ‘MICROBIOMA IN REPRODUCTION, promise or hype?’ where this interesting question was addressed.

As part of Fertipharm’s ‘Singular Probiotic Club’, the meeting was attended by exceptional professionals, including Dr Isidoro Bruna and Dr Antonio Gosálvez, both of whom participated in the debate.

At Instituto Bernabeu, thanks to the metagenomic analysis of the vaginal microbiome using massive sequencing techniques, we can learn about the ecosystem of the vaginal flora microorganisms, which helps to treat, especially, patients with embryo implantation failure and repeated miscarriages.
