Since yesterday, A Coruña has been hosting the 34th edition of the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF in Spanish) National Congress, an unavoidable event for professionals in the assisted reproduction sector. This year, the Instituto Bernabeu team has beaten its own record by presenting a total of 29 scientific investigations to be shared with the rest of the participants in poster format, oral communications and presentations.

‘It is a pleasure to see that the research effort we make every day at Instituto Bernabeu is bearing fruit, and this is recognised by the Spanish Fertility Society,’ said Dr Andrea Bernabeu, medical co-director of Instituto Bernabeu. ‘Every year we improve both in quantity and quality and I would like to thank the entire team for their work,’ she adds.

In total, 29 research papers from the Instituto Bernabeu group will be presented throughout the congress: 12 of them will be presented in poster format and 15 as oral communications. In addition, Dr Jaime Guerrero and Dr Belén Lledó will give presentations on the prevalence of RIF in double donation treatments and empty follicle syndrome, respectively.

On the other hand, Dr Andrea Bernabeu will moderate a round table on ‘Safety and TRA indicators’ together with Dr Montserrat Boada, from the Hospital Universitari Dexeus in Barcelona, and will participate as a speaker in a session of the Scientific Committee on the challenges and opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in reproductive medicine. Dr Jorge Ten, director of the embryology laboratory of the Instituto Bernabeu Group, will also give a lecture on the sperm selection plate developed by Instituto Bernabeu, which received the innovation award at the ASEBIR congress in 2023. And finally, Dr Rosa María Daurelio, from Instituto Bernabeu Madrid, will participate with a presentation on ovarian stimulation tailored to the patients’ needs.
