Instituto Bernabeu welcomes students from the ADEMA College in Palma de Mallorca

On the 4th of December, the Instituto Bernabeu team received twenty students of the degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the ADEMA College at the clinic in Palma de Mallorca. In their visit, the students had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the main aspects of the work in reproductive medicine carried out in each of the group’s 9 clinics.
The IVF medical and laboratory team shared with the students in different lectures how they work to integrate scientific advances and patient outcomes in order to offer a personalised approach to each individual. During their stay, the university students showed great interest in understanding how nutrition can influence people’s reproductive health.
Dr Jordi Suñol, coordinator of the Instituto Bernabeu Palma de Mallorca, gave a presentation on the impact of endocrinology and nutrition on fertility. For her part, embryologist Margalida Febrer explained the daily work in an in vitro fertilisation laboratory and the techniques used to select the sperm and oocytes that will give rise to future embryos.
The day concluded with a guided tour of the facilities for the students.
