The Rafael Bernabeu Foundation awards 32,500 € in grants to Nursing, Biotechnology, Biology and Medicine students from all over Spain.

As part of its commitment and social responsibility, the Rafael Bernabeu Foundation Social Work, held the scholarship awards ceremony 7th edition for outstanding students with financial difficulties last Tuesday, 5^th of October. The grants have been awarded to 13 university students from all over Spain, each of them received 2,500 euros.

The evaluation committee assessed the student’s brilliant academic records, and their health dedication and vocation, taking into account any possible obstacles and the families’ financial effort. The students are from the Nursing, Biotechnology, Biology and Medicine field.

The Foundation president and Instituto Bernabeu’s medical director, Dr Rafael Bernabeu, was in charge of welcoming the students and their families in this moving event that took place at Instituto Bernabeu’s Auditorium, in Alicante.

The event was attended by leading academic authorities and the Alicante City Council who, together with the event host, Dr Bernabeu, presented the scholarships and diploma. They are:

After the event, participants were invited to a wine of honour reception at the clinic’s gardens.

Rafael Bernabeu Foundation Social Work has a social, educational, culture, scientific and research promotion purpose. Among its objectives is to favour and help people with limited financial resources to access reproductive medicine treatments; to promote knowledge regarding assisted reproduction thanks to its university scholarships programme, its continuing educational courses and its constant support for students’ initiatives. It also promotes different social and cultural events and offers its collaboration to NGOs working with women and unprotected children.

The Foundation is already preparing the call for the 2024 – 2025 scholarships with the conviction of being a boost to help those who, with their efforts, will contribute after their studies to improve society and promote scientific progress.
