Does vasectomy have any side effects?
Side effects are infrequent when patients are in expert hands, but they should be contemplated all the same. These are, by order of frequency: haematomas, wound infections, orchitis and, more rarely, chronic testicular pain. Even rarer, although it has been reported, is the spontaneous recanalisation or restoration of permeability of the vas deferens (that is, the presence of sperm in the ejaculate after a vasectomy).
