Dr Ana Palacios

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia.

Doctor in Medicine from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Alicante) with tOutstanding Cum Laude qualification.

Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Specialised training via MIR at the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante.

She has the level of «Expert in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound».

Master’s degree in «Professional updating for gynaecologists and obstetricians» from the University of Barcelona.

Expert in management of gynaecological and obstetric centres» from the Francisco de Vitoria University.

At health care level, she works at the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante, where she’s the Head of the Obstetrics Unit. She’s also at Instituto Bernabeu, where she’s the Obstetrics area coordinator.

At teaching level, she’s Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health, History of Science and Gynaecology at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

She also teaches on the Master’s Degree in Clinical and Surgical Research organised by the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and on the Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine organised by the University of Alicante.

At research level, she is the Principal Investigator of the «Research in Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Reproductive Medicine» Group at the Institute for Health and Biomedical Research of Alicante (ISABIAL).

She’s the author of several articles on Obstetrics and Gynaecology, published in national and international journals of the speciality.

She’s a member of different technical advisory committees of the «Conselleria de Sanitat» on professional issues related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Valencian Community.

She’s a member of the Ethics Committee for Research with Medicines (CEIm) of the Hospital General Universitario de Alicante.

She’s currently 2nd vice-president of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Valencian Community (SOGCV).
