Dr Eduardo Vilaplana appointed as Honorary Member of the Valencia Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics

We’d like to congratulate our colleague, Dr Eduardo Vilaplana, Director of the Gynaecological Oncology Unit, because this afternoon at 6:30p.m. he will receive the highest honour granted by the Valencia Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics during its national assembly, which this year takes place in Elche today and tomorrow, Saturday 19 November.

During the SEGO, Dr Eduardo Vilaplana also recently received the highest national honour any medical specialist of gynaecology can receive; he was awarded the Honorary Membership to the Spanish Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics.

Dr Eduardo Vilaplana adds this distinction to others he has received over his career including an Honorary Membership to the Spanish Association of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy, which was awarded last year in 2010, an Honorary Membership to the Mexican UNESCO Association for his selfless work in the field of oncology training in Latin American countries especially in the detection of gynaecological cancer, as well as the appointment as a Member of the Spanish Congress of the prevention of cervical cancer and the Spanish Consensus on HPV, among other honours. He has dedicated his long career to the care and attention to women’s health.
