Dr Ana Fuentes discusses the key role of LH in stimulation. 

Dr. Ana Fuentes, gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine and coordinator of the Low Ovarian Reserve Unit at Instituto Bernabeu, recently participated in an event organised by IBSA with a presentation entitled: ‘Role of LH in ovarian stimulation: what we know today’.

During her presentation, Dr. Fuentes discussed the importance of luteinising hormone (LH), especially in combination with follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), in follicular development. On the other hand, she had the opportunity to share with the attending specialists the most updated scientific evidence on the benefits of adding LH during ovarian stimulation in IVF (in vitro fertilisation) treatments, especially in certain patient profiles. She also explained which groups of women could benefit most from its use, the recommended doses and the optimal protocols to follow to improve clinical results.
